I was so honored to be chosen (pretty much) to do a portrait of the Ballard School for this year's Old Time Ballard Jamboree! I went to this school as a child and lived across the street, so I am very intimate with it.
Even better, my daughter now goes there. Much has changed, but it is still a warm welcoming atmosphere there. I had never painted a building before, so it was cool that this would be my first.
It had also been a while since I have painted anything. It felt very good to paint. I was so nervous to get it right though. It came together just how I had hoped. It was for the auction at the Jamboree.
Oh how I love the feel on my brush in the paint and all the color exploration on the pallet. What joy!
This was extra sweet because I got to paint on my back porch! I had been without an outdoor space for so long. I love my new place! I am very tickled with how the painting came out. I really like it. I hope the byer likes it as well. It sold for a wonderful price. I am honored to be able to contribute to this wonderful place.
Here it is all finished. Even my daughter liked it!
I got to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for my birthday! I had not been able to go for 10 years and had been hoping to get there for years. It was so fun to be there with my mom and daughter. We had a blast!
So inspirational. I could spent 2 days there easy.
We got to go to Disneyland this month too. It is my favorite thing to do and is really the best vacation!
So many inspirational views and wonderful experiences. I can never get enough.
Ta Ta for now. I have way too much I want to get to do and so very little free time these last few months. I hope to share more soon!
