the turquiose one is my favorite, but I would pick up any of them for myself if they do not sell.
I just finished the first layer of sewing on the covers and added the tie strips today. I will have to photo the covers next. I have posted a bunch more pictures on my Flikr site.
We got an appetizer that was 1/2 lobster tail and rock shrimp raviolis...Wow! The waiter poured some sort of broth over it after he set it down. It was the juices it had cookked in. The sause was so good you were tempted to drink it.
I got the chicken dish. Those are fuji apples on top and mashed potaoes undernieth. It was sooooooo good OMG!! I want it again and again!
We then went back into the kitchen and met the chef. He signed my menu! It was such a perfect little birthday getaway!!
I like the way it turned out. It did not take me near as long to make as the originals. I hope to find time to make more to sell at the Queen of Arts show this year. I am not sure if this is the year it will happen or not. Cannot think about it yet.
I wish I had had the time to cut some branches somewhere when they were just budding so I could put them in a vase and watch them bloom in my home. I love the way they make me feel. I have almost bought fake ones so many times, but it could never be the same.
By the time I could get to taking these pictures, the petels were starting to thim and the bright green leaf shoots were begining to show.
As the days went on (they are all gone now) I watched as the breeze gently blew all the blossoms away...sigh. Maybe next year I will get some branches to share the magic with my daughter.

Trying to work on the journal again...got my little "helper" with me. Although she is super cute and very cuddly in my lap, it is very hard to sew with 1 1/2 hands.
After an entire day, I did manage to sew my short pages to size and make some clear pages. Next I hope to work on embelishing the pages. I am excited because, although I am super sick with a dumb cold, I am going to try and sew some more tomorrow while Maddie is in school. I hope to get a long, healing nap after getting her to school, get the stuff around my bed cleared away for the new bed comming on Fri, and sew a little in my journal.....could happen.
I think this is upsidedown hehe. This is the normal size journal I am doing for "the Remains of the Day". I sewed the cover and the tie on, but I still have some details I would like to add. 
This is the smaller one. I have aspirations of making this my daily journal. I have decided to use nothing but handmade journals I made this year for the one I carry daily and that they will all be short so I will finish many over this year of 2010! My next journal will be made using as many stickers as I can. I have a big overstock of stickers...I love stickers! It is a big weakness of mine. I hope to make the journal in the same fashion as the remains journals. I am a bit ahead of myself though (LOL) I have not sewn any pages for these two yet. I have a bunch of stuff ready for steps 1 and 2 .... I hope to get to those before I get anymore done with the covers. Just waiting for good op to do the first part of the sewing of the pages.

Had the Chistmas party at the Art Clinic. I had a lot of fun! It is so rare lately to have the time to just do art. So rare infact that I got all worked up with the idea of getting something done or finished, brought a ton of stuff to sort through or finish, and ended up starting a new project which I got a bit intimidated by and did not finish....not even close. So my only goal I completed was the ornament.
