Trip to San Diego

Went down to San-D to see The awesome ANNA marry her sweetheart Jerry. Awe!!

I hope I have better pictures of the happy picturesque couple on my real camera, because none of my I touch pictures do either of them justice. They were beautiful! The wedding was beautiful too. They wrote their own vows! Wow!! I felt so privileged to be there witnessing all the magic. Congrats you two crazy kids!!

Beautiful Day Pic Test

Very nice day so far. Very tired though and a bit sad that the 3-day weekend is almost thru. I am hoping to go to the studio in a bit but I am not feeling it yet.

It Feels Pretty Good to Get Some Real Painting Done!

Sky is done, shadows painted, mid painting has good first layer, now I "just" need to work on the foreground.  Oh yeah: and finish the back hehe.
I got a lot done on the tin I am making too.  I did not get to the barrettes tho...not bad and I still have one more day!

New Barrettes Started

St Patrick's Day is one of my loved holidays. I am working on some barrettes to celebrate.

I think the circular one needs more detail. I am liking them pretty much. I just need to get a few more supplies and cut a few more outta this Eco felt that was made out of 100% recycled plastic bottles. I am hoping to find time tomorrow to cut out more and maybe start on the Easter ones, as well as finish this tin box and work out the mural a bit.

Easter Projects

Little Madison loves her Valentine barrettes so much, I decided I should make some new ones for Easter this year.

If they come out cute I will try to make some extra for my Etsy. Here is some of the new felt I got. It is made out of 100% recycled plastic bottles!

Here was my first attempt at them.

I made 2 others after this that were bigger and held more hair.

Hope everyone had a fantastic Valentine's Day!
I hope to work on all the stuff I failed to get to last weekend. Sat should be cold and rainy, so maybe I can get a bit done at the studio. Otherwise, I do have Monday off and maybe can find a few hours to work. Quality hours I hope.

More Fun Cooked Up at the Art Clinic

My mom, Syd McCutcheon , hosted yet another fun day.

Sewing circles using techniques learned in a recent class her and some friends took. Really nice stuff! I was a bit occupied with my sweet little one, otherwise I would have joined in for sure! Looked like a lot of fun.

My daughter even got to play a bit. Her first time sewing and she didn't even prick her finger, in fact she was a real natural!

I took the inspiration with me and found myself sewing a bit tonight. I made some Valentine barrettes for Madison and me. I made her one last week too, but I am hoping this one stays in her hair better.

I hope to find time tomorrow to make a post and add pictures to my Flickr, but I might not find the time so......
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!!
Don't forget to be your own Valentine too!

Projects, Projects, Projects

Look at all the unfinished projects... Tsk tsk.

To be fair I only just started this box last weekend.

Trying to get psyched to get some pieces done or restarted this weekend. I got this box to try and finish, that huge screen mural, our collaborative pieces to start and a few other random things. again, I will not be able to finish them all, but I hope to at least finish that box or make sure I have enough paint to start the screen. Wish me luck and ( more importantly ) focus.

What a Fun Anniversary Party at The Art Clinic!

What a fun night at the Art Clinic! It was so nice to see everyone.  The Valentine making table was packed!  It seemed like a good showing. It also seemed to go by too fast.  We need more fun art get togethers!  Speaking of which: sounds like my mom is having a little sewing bee on Sunday.  Sounds like it will be fun too!

Needed a Little Drink

I really should treat myself to a little drink at the end of the day more often. I like a special drink. Straight drinks are all fine, but when you do not get a chance too often, you need to make your drinks just a bit more special.

1 ½ oz. Malibu Rum
½ oz. Peach Schnapps
3 oz. Cranberry Juice
2 oz. Orange Juice
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
Mix all ingredients over ice. Garnish with a slice of orange and a speared cherry.

It was just what I needed: a little bit of alcohol and a pinch of self indulgence. It was well worth walking down the street to the store in my sleeping attire. Ha ha ha

Phwew!

Here thery are big big big pictures! Hehe.  Took me 2 hours to load all 5 to my Etsy Shop and link it all.

I sure hope everyone likes these!  I think I will be making a few more paper mache items soon.

Hearts Ready to Post

Okay! Finally finished the 3D hearts.

I love the way the copper words came out!

I will be spending my night loading these to Etsy hehe

I think this is it for Valentine stuff to sell, I had to make like over 50 cards for my daughter's school and my friends. I was hoping to have some extras that were worth selling, but I don't have any I feel are worth trying to market. Maybe next year.

Journal Entries

Been writing in this journal more than drawing. Almost filled the first signature. Just 2 more.

I thought I would be through with this one by now due to all the art paper I used.

I do really like this journal, that is why I am making more to sell on Etsy for everyone to hopefully enjoy like I do.

I hope to be posting a bunch of Valentine stuff next! It is that time of year again and there are so many people that need some loving! If I am smoking hot, maybe there will be extras... Kind of doubt it. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
