Christmas is Over

I just got back from 3 days at the in-laws. Had a good Christmas. It was great to see everyone. It has been a while since I had made it up there (I do not get a lot of time off). Donn is still up there. He went to hang out at our house. I sure wish I could be there with him. I am hoping to make it up there on my one vacation for next year. Now that the holidays are done, I only have a few projects to finish. My computer is about shot though, so I need to call and see if I can breath some more life into it. Donn is getting a new one, but I am sure he will limit my time on it so I want to keep this one going. I received a new Nano I-Pod as a bonus and want to get that up and running. It is killing me to have to wait, but my computer, as is, cannot generate enough memory to open i-tunes. I am hopping I will only have to add a couple RAM chips and all will be well. Cross your fingers for me!! I am also needing to finish the pink and orange true colors II journal by Jan 2nd. Okay...My mind is racing with all the other things that need to get done, so I better stop before the stress sets in again.

So Crazy

Christmas is 9-10 days away...what now!! I have so many Christmas cards to finish and gifts to make and orders to fill. My silver order has not gotten here yet. It better, or I am in trouble! Work is exhausting. Two crazy clients that I wish lived farther away! I need a vacation. This 3 day stuff just is not going to be enough for me. Same old same old. Oh well. Back to the grind.

Oh My Gosh it is already December!!

The art show went great! I just sent out the next True Colors II journal. Turquoise was the color of this one. I did "turqoise water". I was going to have a mermaid in the center of it, but could not get myself to do something that so many others have already done, so I put a hammerhead shark in the middle instead. I really like the way it came out. I took some pictures and should try and load those up. We will see... I still feel a bit overwhelmed with A couple jewelry orders for Christmas, Christmas cards to make, and gifts to make or buy. Man (sigh) when will there be some me time to just play a few video games and put a model together? I gotta go...Bye

work work work

I finished my true colors II book! I cannot wait to get the next one!! Art show is still looming. My mom will be back from Mexico soon! I did about 10 minutes of jewelry, not bad for working a 10 hour day today at work and expecting another tommorow. Well I better get to bed and rest up for that. G'Nite!

Busy Gal

I am almost done with me "True Colors II" lime green and pink book. I will be sending it off tommorow (I hope). Work is still a bit crazy, especially with one assistant on vacation. Say a little prayer for me for the next two days of work, they will be rough. My mom is in Mexico and probably having a wonderful time (at least I hope). The art show is in two weeks, so it looks like I will have to cut down on my plans again. Only half of the stuff on my list is even close to being done. Maybe I should ask for next Thursday off to catch up? Last time I got Thursday off I got sick and was in bed the entire day. Man I was mad! A whole day gone. Lets see how much I can fit in after work. I might try and stay up late today to get some stuff done. Again, cross your fingers for me!

Another weekend of procrastinating

The light is on at my jewelry desk, but I am not there. I have rearranged my projects a few times, but have decided to check my e-mail. Good thing too...there was an e-mail from an old friend I have not heard from in 2-3 years and Mom sent me a site that had Donn and I laughing until we cried called Stuff on my Cat (http://www.stuffonmycat.com/index.php?blogid=1&startpos=10). It is a must see. The real fat cat with the overalls is the best. Now I must go to my jewelry desk and start making bezels or something. Wish me luck!!

PROCRASTINATION

Okay...Here it is my day to get started on projects for the Christmas Show.....I guess I needed to check e-mail first? The cat wants attention (so hard to resist her). I need to eat breakfast and find some coffee to drink. I need to get music playing. I want to go see mom's class at around 12. It is 10:30 now. Oh the crap that you think of when you have a daunting task in front of you and limited time. T minus your weekend and counting... Okay lets get going already!

It was such a promising start. The whole bar chearing and yelling for the raiders. Good beer at least. Nov. show starting to wear on me allready. Nothing done yet. This weekend is my kick off. Where to start? What to make? (big sigh)

Weeks lost

It has been over a month now since I have had a chance to turn my computer on. Saying that I have been busy would be an understatement. I have been able to get a couple shots off with my camera phone though. I went on my first cruise in the last week of July (see drink of the day pict). That was sooo fun! I felt so spoiled. I went to Ozzfest a couple weekends ago, and that was great too! Last weekend Donn and I took the Amtrak to San Diego to finally visit my friend Anna. Only took me a couple of years to get the opportunity. That was fun! I so hope I can make that happen more often. I feel like between work and fun I have not been home in a long time. My cat really misses us. My house is overwhelmingly a mess. And to top it all off...November is just around the corner...AAAHHH!!!! So much Jewelry to do and already no time. Hopefully work will settle down and I can actually have time to do something after I get home at night. We will see.

WOW....Still Not Recovered

All last week I was sick or overwhelmed with work. I had hopped to recover over the weekend, but I am now suffering from a cold. At least Donn and I managed to make it to the beach on Sun. Boy that was a nice day! I am not too sunburned either. We need to do that more often. I had a blast on the 4th of July. Donn and me went to a friend's party in Santa Barbara and played tippy cup. Loads of fun! Then, at about 7:45 PM we all headed out for the peir to watch the fireworks. They were fantastic! Right over our heads. We headed back but got side tracked and ended up reaching home at 2 AM or so. Big mistake with a crazy day at work for the 5th. I was sooo tired, I had to take an hour nap in my car before I could drive home. Then on Thur. I had some bad salsa and felt sick most of Fri. Sat. I went to my Mom's for an art day with Carol K, but I was not myself and a bit under the weather. I guess I am not as young as I think. I should go to bed right now, but it is way too hot to sleep. Maybe my cold will be better tommorow and I can finally get to some art. Cross your fingers for me.

Brain still not functioning

I had a TOTAL blast at True Colors!!! Met some fun people and we all had similar art interests yet totally different art styles . Gave me a two day migraine (all pain controlled with meds) it was that good. Work is rubbing out some of the memories. I will try to recapture them on this three day weekend! I am so inspired. I plan to make a bunch of ATCs and go to mom's to show her the wax techniques I learned and start two more journals and finish my project and and and.... I better settle down.. bed time is next. I will go into more detail this weekend. I need to PLAY MORE!!! and so does everyone else. Looking to start some trades!

I am at true colors

So much fun already! Except for the drive. Went to club art bar and got my shots of paint and canvas along with a project. That was fun. Already did some trading and hope to do more tommorow. I will write more later and send a pic or 2. I am writing this from my phone and my thumb is tired.

June 6th with mom at Shell Beach for her first showing there. She took a break and I could not help mysel: I had to paint something too.

Cachuma Lake

Donn And me went to Cachuma Sat. for his company picnic part of which included a free boat rental. We got so carried away in the boat we missed the BBQ. We were sooo sunburned and tired, we did not even bother to drive down to the site. We just left. The boat was so fun though! Donn was the captain, of course. I want to just relax and enjoy the ride. Donn is now Captain Ahab Jr. (or Reh-hab prenounced ray-hab) We laughed a lot! Got to see a lot of Western Grebes and their very cute babies. You could see them getting a ride on their parent's back. CUTE CUTE CUTE. Some of the males charged are boad and squaked loudly before they dove under us. Today I have been procrastinating from getting my AJPs done. I better get to it!

My new necklace not finished

ATC for True Colors 

I finally made a necklace, just for me. I rarely do because I always just see the flaws. Most of the jewelry I wear that I have made is because I think no one is getting it, or the clasp is wierd. This time I designed it from scratch just for me. It is basically finished, I just have to finish the strap. I might wear it without untill I find more time.

The True Colors weekend getaway is in a couple of weeks and I have sooooo much to finish!! I am so excited to go though. I better remember to take Excedrine to avoid a migrane. The one I got from Art Unraveled lasted almost a week. I actually had to take time off work. I hate having to do that. I will post some photos when I figure that out.
